Hi! I’m Steph.

I’m a creative, dynamic and passionate writer and communications strategist with a soft spot for inspiring people stories, lifestyle pieces, and all things arts, culture and community.

I spent most of the past decade working at award-winning public relations agencies in Orlando and South Florida. Over the course of my career, I’ve secured impactful media coverage and crafted compelling stories for clients across a wide range of industries, including:

  • Retail + Luxury Retail (Aventura Mall, Dania Pointe, Destin Commons)

  • Real Estate (Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, Mattamy Homes, Toll Brothers, GL Homes, Lakewood Ranch, Kimco Realty)

  • Hospitality (Darden Restaurants, Bulla Gastrobar, LIME Mexican Grill)

  • Higher Education (Lynn University, FAU, Fortis, Post University)

  • Nonprofit (Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Community Based Care of Central Florida, Heart of Florida United Way, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida)

  • Healthcare (Florida Spine Associates, Integrated Dermatology, My House Fitness, SanMelix Laboratories)

  • Tech + Ed Tech (Alosant, Time4Learning)

  • B2B (Tiger Packaging)

I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2015 (Go Knights!) with a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication (Human Communication) and minors in Mass Communication and Marketing. While at UCF, I wrote for an online Greek Life publication and launched a lifestyle blog. Prior to college, I was the student life editor of my high school newspaper, but my love for writing and storytelling began when I was just a little girl growing up in sunny South Florida.

As a kid, I spent hours reading and writing, acting out skits for family members, analyzing films on the big screen and living out carefully constructed plots on the playground with my neighborhood friends, courtesy of my creative imagination. Inspiration was everywhere…and that still feels true today. I’d lose track of time writing fictional stories and autobiographical essays and acting as the “editor” of my own homemade magazine. Eventually, my love for storytelling led me to take acting classes, work on the set of one of my favorite series, and perform monologues and short plays on independent community stages.

More recently, I launched a Substack newsletter, Caffeinated Commentary, where I share essays, musings, and lifestyle recommendations (you can read it and subscribe for free here).

Whether I’m crafting a story, pitching a story or helping clients uncover stories that deserve to shine, I can promise you this: I do it with creativity and heart. Two things AI doesn’t have. ;)
